The Center for Employment Training and Initiatives of the City of Murcia, in the Fica, hosts until December 31, the exhibition 'Women at work', to help eliminate gender stereotypes in access to work and show women in jobs which have traditionally been underrepresented.
This city center form more than 250 students from the School Workshop, Initial Vocational programs and occupational training courses.
The Councillor for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, and Councilman Employment, Trade and Business, José María Tortosa, participated this morning in the opening of the exhibition.
The exhibition consists of 40 photographs that occupy five towers of 1 meter wide and 2 meters high.
They made a tour of professions ranging from driver to manager of marble company, architect, professor, researcher, artist, music and more.
The women photographed for the exhibition have worked voluntarily to raise awareness and serve as a model for other women, giving a welcome boost to the presence of women in all fields, in equality with men.
The photos of the exhibition were made by students and students of upper Photography Art School of Murcia, coordinated by Professors Monica Lozano, Francisco Jesus and Carmen Garcia.
