The University of Murcia has today, the 12th, in the building of the Rectory, the FCG Chair, in an act that has been attended Mulenen artist.
The Chair, endowed with 10,000 euros and commissioning with Mula Painted House Foundation, aims to research and dissemination on the career and work of FCG to what actions will promote the development of cultural, literary and artistic informative as a framework.
The director of the Chair, Professor of Art History Miguel Angel Hernandez, announced during the presentation that in the coming days will be issued the call for aid research aimed at a student or post-doctoral student, who will have access and support for their work in different locations Gabarrón Foundation (Barcelona, ​​Valladolid and New York).
Candidates must be graduates or doctors in Fine Arts, Art History or other areas of human and social sciences and have a deadline of November 15, 2012 for submitting projects, which are valued for their interest and feasibility, along with the academic record and research experience of the candidate.
The winning project, which will begin in January, will run for one year with possibility of extension, after publishing the results.
FCG thanked the University of Murcia for an initiative "that gives contemporary art a more scientific knowledge" and that is "open to society University and collaboration with private enterprise."
The rector, José Antonio Cobacho coincided with Gabarrón and highlighted the efforts of the public institution that goes from being around society and its problems.
During the ceremony, attended by the rector of Coordination and Communication, María Ángeles Esteban, also spoke Gabarrón Foundation president and secretary general of the Painted House Foundation, Cabero FCG.
