The Department of Markets, Consumption and Decentralization, directed Christopher Smith, will, as every year, periodic inspections of the temporary facilities that are installed in all venues of the Fair of Murcia, to check for compliance with the sanitary conditions in to location and handling team.
This is to ensure the quality and safety of food that will be sold and avoid health risks, which may trigger unwanted episodes.
Among other things, municipal technicians monitor whether facilities are isolated and separated from sources of contamination and settled on paved ground, ground or grass.
Also check if the soil materials, walls and ceilings were appropriate food handling, if they have running water, sink, waste water collection and watertight containers for garbage, the suitability of the contact surfaces and utensils with food, among others.
But not enough for the location, installation and equipment are appropriate, also monitor the conditions relating to the handling, health accreditation as raw material, the continuous training of handlers, correct exposure and food preservation the prohibition of making sauces and fresh raw egg creams, food storage and other incompatible bad handling practices.
The Department notes that the effectiveness of these health checks should be accompanied by the collaboration of consumers, who are invited to observe and enforce best practices on how to present and preserve the products, and their protection against environmental pollution claim right habits by food handlers.

With the opening of the fair halls and gardens, the 30th of August begins Murcia Fair 2012, which runs until September 11.
