The president of the Catholic University San Antonio, Jose Luis Mendoza, the volunteers received upon arrival in Murcia
A group of volunteers participating in the 2012 edition of Campus Social Development in Peru, composed of teachers, students, administrators and Services San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM), and external donors to the University, headed by the Vice Chancellor University Extension and director of the International Institute of Charity and Volunteering, Antonio Alcaraz, returned last Friday to Murcia, after completing an intensive volunteer work and charitable social action in deprived areas of the Andean country, as Pachacutec, in the province of Callao , Iquitos, in the lower Amazon and slums of Lima.
The director of the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer John Paul II UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz, shown on arrival at Murcia welcomed the successful conclusion of this seventh edition of Campus Social Development in Peru, sponsored by the said institute, and highlights the great work done by volunteers, focusing on areas such as social promotion, health care and care for the most vulnerable children, and materialized in the development of various workshops focusing on activities such as health education, literacy, communication, Construction, New Technology, social exclusion and discrimination, growth and evangelism.
Antonio Alcaraz further emphasizes the importance of educational work as a basis to develop a job that allows men and women to earn a living.
"The volunteer work should not be limited to the needy carry a plate of food for a few days. Volunteer teaching mission is to win that bowl of food to survive. Ultimately is to provide a life expectancy" says.
