The Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) and the University of Havana (Cuba) will be implemented from next October a Cuban-Spanish dual major in Anthropology.
The diploma will have two directors, the Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz (Spain) and the Montane Anthropological Museum Director, Armando Rangel (Cuba), will be held at the University of Havana, will last for one academic year, teachers will both universities, and will enable the creation of the first anthropologists to guarantee the Scientific Committee of the University of Havana.
The president of the Catholic University San Antonio, Jose Luis Mendoza, has maintained a relaxed meeting with the directors of the title Spanish and Cuban, Antonio Alcaraz, and Armando Rangel, in which teachers have also participated in the University, responsible for providing in Cuba various training materials.
Jose Luis Mendoza expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of this initiative, which is defined with a service to the Church and the Cuban people, and expressed his great affection and closeness to Cuba, a country he described as sister nation Spain.
For his part, Antonio Alcaraz, stressed the importance of this international project to consolidating the presence of UCAM in Cuba, and brought forward the future development of a second phase that will allow students access to a master set, recognized by both universities, and open the door to a doctoral program.
