In what is spoken when you mention a Smart City, which requirements must meet to be considered as such, what services have to offer, how to fund it or how to integrate the deployed infrastructure are some unresolved issues in order to define rigorously and objectivity which projects fit the Smart Cities in the field of energy efficiency.
For this, the Local Energy Agency of Murcia will hire the development of a manual definition, design and implementation of a performance Smart City for a municipality.
The guide will be useful to all cities, not only Murcia, because although ALEM coordinate and pull out to tender the project, funding is provided by EnerAgen (Spanish Agency Association of Energy Management).
The company is made with the assistance, the call will last throughout the month of July and have a term of three months for filing the document shall contain a review of the current state of technology Smart Cities in Spain and abroad, and best practices implemented to date in any city.
Among these technologies are those related to monitoring and remote management, multiple smart and sustainable urban facilities, from the control and management of landscape irrigation or lighting, to the management of maintenance brigades of urban infrastructure.
Because transform cities into Smart Cities is the ideal tool to get citizens enjoy a better quality of life thanks to the advantages offered by new technologies, whose application in a cross to the administration carries an increased energy savings, greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Good practices become a model
The initiative to carry out this study tendered by the city of Murcia will reveal the various regulatory frameworks, financing alternatives, possible calls, public-private cooperation, the developments in recent years and future prospects.

The last phase of this initiative will be a celebration in Murcia of a training day to be exhibited in the experiences of cities in developing technologies and Smart Cities will share best practices carried out by each.
