The Catholic University of Murcia has celebrated the Summer Camp 'The Union: the presence of cultures'
San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) held this morning Summer Camp 'The Union: the presence of cultures'.
The event, organized by the Department of Human and Religious Sciences of the University started with the opening of the activity that has taken place in the House of Pinon, historic town hall building of the Union.
First the students visited the Public Market where they met the architectural features of the building.
Then, attendees have moved to La Union Mining Park, where they made a visit inside the mine.
The parish of Garbanzal, the Sierra Minera, or Portman have been other places that have come to know the students.
Ricardo Lafuente, one of the coordinators of the campus, said the objective of this activity to show students UCAM historical and heritage value of Cartagena and La Union.
"This is a unique opportunity to delve into the customs of a people dedicated to mining for their livelihoods," said the coordinator.
