The Governing Council of the University of Murcia today agreed that a commission will be responsible for proposing economic adjustment measures derived from the budget reduction and must be approved by this body at a subsequent meeting.
The committee shall consist of representatives of the government team, deans, department heads, faculty, students, administrative staff and services and presidents of the Boards of the PDI and the PAS and the Works Councils of the PDI and the PAS.
The agreement was adopted in the course of a broad debate which analyzed the measures proposed by the rector and other equipment made by different members of the Governing Council.
It has also highlighted the inability to accurately specify these settings, scheduled for the years 2012 and 2013, while the Autonomous Community does not require the payment schedule of outstanding debt with the University.
