In order to continue working on the awareness campaign and promotion of solidarity and volunteerism, the City of Murcia, through the Office of Volunteer Services Center "Murcia South" (which belongs to the Department of Social Welfare and Health, directed by Maria del Carmen Pelegrin), has launched a new edition of the "I can also be supportive."
This is the seventh edition, intended for all schools in the territory of the Center for Social Services "Murcia South", and which involved 2832 school first, second and third cycle of primary from 24 CEIP's in the area.
The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, has delivered this morning at the Plenary Hall of the City Council, the prizes to the winners.
Students in first and second primary cycle worked a booklet which promote solidarity actions that can be carried out in their immediate environment.
This booklet will work values ​​such as responsibility, fairness, honesty, friendship, generosity, respect, tolerance, etc..
Postgraduate students have worked in groups, a dossier which contained various scenes of daily life in which a child can be supportive.
These scenes reflect the photographs that the children are working with colleagues at school, family and community.
These files, with photographs, have been assessed by experts from the Department of Social Welfare and Health otorgándose two awards for both best dossier.
The awards have fallen on the CEIP Gloria Fuertes (El Palmar) and CEIP Sacred Heart (Zeneta).
This prize is a trip "Down in the River Segura raft from Cieza Blanca."
The event also will give you a diploma to the two groups co-finalists and the winning groups and a trophy to the school.
CONTEST II TALES OF THE DISTRICT OF ROSALES
El concurso está enmarcado dentro del Proyecto Comunitario del CAC del Centro de Servicios Sociales “Murcia Sur”.
Tiene como objetivo promover el hábito de la lectura en los jóvenes de la pedanía de El Palmar y recompensar el esfuerzo de los centros educativos con su participación en este tipo de eventos.
Schools involved are: CEIP Santa Rosa de Lima, CEIP Los Rosales, IES El Palmar, Bridges Association Meeting and Neighbourhood Coordinator.
There have been a total of 54 students with their stories.
Two categories have been established with a first prize for each category:
- A, Second and third year of primary school
- B, ESO students.
The award consists of a personal check for both the winner and the school which is: Category A, with a value of 50 euros for the winner and 75 for the center and Category B, with a value of 75 euros for the winner and 75 for the center.
