The Governing Council of the University of Murcia approved the creation of the Center for Disability Studies and Promotion of Personal Autonomy, which aims to channel the contributions which can respond to the challenges of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The project will involve eight academic departments, along with the School of Legal Practice and Sports Medicine Center.

Also, be open to participation by other units and centers consider relevant presence in that center.

Moreover, the Governing Council has approved the internal regulations of the International PhD School of the University.
