The University of Murcia hosted the presentation of the first national competition for the creation of junior companies, which have called the Youth Institute of Spain (Ministry of Employment and Social Security) and the Spanish Confederation of Junior Enterprises.
President of the Federation of Junior Enterprises in the Region of Murcia (FEJERM), Alberto Jesús García, encouraged students at the University of Murcia to participate in a contest worth 2,000 euros for the implementation of the winning project, which be evaluated "its innovation, originality, that is sustainable economically and technically feasible," he said.
Projects must be presented in groups, with a minimum of three students, within a period between 3 September and 15 October.
The president of the Spanish Confederation of Junior Enterprises (CEJE), Ismael Hernandez, thanked the University of Murcia support to the initiatives of junior companies and referred to the contest as a "real and tangible opportunity" offered to students in times of difficulty.
The event, held at the Convalescence was chaired by the Vice President for Student and Employment, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, who alluded to the entrepreneurial movement at the University of Murcia, which currently has ten junior companies.
