The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, this morning visited the new center García Alix, located in the neighborhood of San Antolin and various facilities for groups and residents of the area, among which are classrooms, offices, reading room, offices of the neighborhood and a gym.
The rehabilitation project allows it to adapt the existing building to house various municipal social and cultural.
The building, municipal ownership, is protected, so that the facades have been preserved and its basic structure.
The building has an auditorium, a reading room, classrooms, offices for the District and Municipal Board and other rooms for social uses.
It has also installed a gym with changing rooms in the basement.
The planned investment totaled EUR 1.7 million and allowed the creation of jobs for 50 people for almost a year.
