Students from 28 schools participated in the contest drawing of the "Growing in safety."

The initiative aims to promote preventive lifestyle among students in grade 5 °.

Sixteen students from schools in the municipality have received today the winners who are credited as drawing winners of the "Security Grows in 2012", organized by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, through the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Labor, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, the company Sico Engineering and Safety and the city of Murcia.

The initiative, aimed at students from grade 5 of primary education, has had the participation of 28 centers, and it is intended to promote preventive lifestyle among schoolchildren.

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, the Councillor for Education, Lola Sanchez, and the Director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Thomas Perez, have handed the prizes to the winners:

The contest "Grow Security" aims to instill in students 10 to 11 years the need to assess risks to safety and health in all walks of life, but particularly so in the environment in which they operate.

To do this, students and their teachers attend briefings on common accidents to which they are exposed (falling down stairs, poisoning, burns, slipping in the shower, danger of stoves, etc..), Emphasizing the problems of back caused by poor posture in the chair and the wrong way to carry the backpack.

Was distributed among the students with a comic vignettes of daily life situations structured in three blocks, house, street and school, wrongdoing that children should be identified.

With an interactive game projected on the whiteboard, the students pointed out the errors between the class discussing the risks and prevention.

The aim of the campaign is to make prevention is taken into account as an asset and create a lifestyle preventive from young, so that when they become workers or entrepreneurs have rooted knowledge.
