The University Library and the Cultural Service of the University of Murcia have called the First Contest of Haiku, a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of a very short poem that has been gaining in influence in the Western world.

The original deadline will expire on 4 June, and the contest is open to persons working with the Universities of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic as students, PAS and PDI, as well as exchange students or Senior Classroom belong to any university association.

The theme of Haiku should be about the library or the book.

Be awarded a prize consisting of an electronic book and two runners.

To participate, the originals will be mandatory by email to: culturabiblio@um.es
