On the occasion of the celebration of National Nutrition and World No Snuff, the council of the Municipality of Murcia Health, who heads María del Carmen Pelegrin, have scheduled a series of activities with workshops, information sessions and awareness and counseling to promote a healthy lifestyle.
This health campaign aims to combat the leading causes of premature mortality and preventable, obesity and smoking, and communicating to the public that health status has much to do with individual responsibility for their own decisions.
Treating these problems jointly enhance health outcomes, as it is acting on the main risk factors for chronic diseases more prevalent in society, such as: factors associated with poor nutrition (obesity, high cholesterol, low fruit consumption and vegetables and hypertension), lack of physical activity (sedentary), and snuff consumption.
These are three of the most important public health problems today.
