The Association of Friends of the Botanic Garden this morning has made a plantation in the flowerbeds of the Malecon, the City of Murcia have been assigned to manage them.
The intent of this initiative is to restore this unique space as a place to enjoy nature.
Participated in planting the Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-Cachá, botanists, plant lovers and neighbors of St. Antolin and the Malecon area.
This project aims to create a collection of Mediterranean plants characteristic of the Region of Murcia, bring nature to citizens, to recover the history of ancient Murcia Botanical Garden, which the didactic use of plants to take back ownership and encourage respect for the natural heritage and the public.
This collection of plants will be maintained by volunteers and friends of the project with the advice of botanists from the University of Murcia.
The plants were provided by the Green Office Association of the University of Murcia.
