The research group in Early Intervention, University of Murcia study using 4D ultrasound bonding of parents to the children yet unborn.
"This technology will allow us to discover whether there are differences in prenatal bonding of parents who see images of their unborn children and those who do not see them, and if those imply improved bonding," says Professor of Psychology Education and Julio Perez.
"Bonding is critical to the development of children, and 4D ultrasound techniques are complementary to their study, both parents prenatal, postnatal and the children to their parents," he adds.
Ultrasounds will be provided by the company Lomas Criado, with which the University of Murcia has signed a collaboration agreement.
At the signing ceremony, held in Convalescence, the seat of the Senate, the manager of the company, José Luis Lomas, said ultrasounds are not diagnostic, but merely emotional, "through technology generate social value, as parents see their baby moving and have a memory for life. "
The rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, in his speech, praised the work of Julio Perez and his research team.
