The group of IU-Murcia Green presented a motion asking the council to monitor compliance with labor legislation on social security and prevention of occupational hazards of the concessionaires for works and services for the entire period that lasts the concession.
"In recent times we have found companies that were failing in their obligations to the Social Security without the City Council do anything to prevent injury to workers who lose their charge," said Herguedas.
In this sense, gave as examples the company responsible for urban transport or previous service concessionaire serene, whose debts to the Social Security have led to the seizure of the City Council grant.

Low pay is another feature that affects workers of logging companies, a situation "that can still get worse" because the contracts made by the council have reduced the amount by 20 percent, according to pointed Herguedas.
"Cost savings from the hiring of public services is largely on the last link, workers will never have the same working conditions and salary employees who report directly to the city council," he pointed out.
"What we can not allow is that these conditions also affect look as basic as occupational health," added Councilwoman IU recalling the crisis and job insecurity negatively influence always in this area.
So Herguedas team has called on the Government to exercise control "effective and permanent" on the compliance by contracting companies both from the Municipal Service for Prevention and Health, as a technical and from the Safety Committee and Health, as an organ of involvement with the presence of workers.
