The City Council is committed to training in language exchanges abroad for young people (16/05/2012)

Murcia City Council is committed to training for young people and facilitate the practice of language supporting youth exchanges abroad, which take place during the months of July and August.

Murcia 125 youth, ages 12 and 25, will have the opportunity this summer to live an unforgettable experience while living with young people from other cultures, participate in activities and practice languages.

The Councillor for Sports, Youth and Tourism, Miguel Cascales, explained that the aim of the youth exchange program is to foster the knowledge of the EU countries through the relationship between young people, encourage the practice of language and the possibility of exchange of ideas on topics of interest to youth.

Also, young people from other countries improve their knowledge of Spain and Murcia, and practice Spanish.

This year there will be 19 trade to Greece, Italy, France, Liechtenstein, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Germany, Finland and Portugal.

With topics such as mosaic of cultures, analysis of the socioeconomic situation, creativity and art, creation of European projects, theater, arts, climate, culture, caving, nature adventure, alternative energy, circus, sport and integration, and ecological art.

In addition, some youth will participate in the 28th International Week of Music Ettelbruck (Luxembourg) in 2012 Euromance Kokkola (Finland), the European Cultural Week Neueburg (Germany) and the Festival of Folklore of Pizzo Calabro ( Italy),

This is theme stays in different countries, sharing activities and interacting with youth from other cities.

This program is no exchange of young families if not gatherings of young people participating in projects sponsored by the city of Murcia and other municipalities or entities, in collaboration with the European Commission.

All exchanges are done in the months of July and August, with a duration of 7 to 15 days.

The price includes travel, accommodation, all meals, activities, insurance of participants and specialized monitors.

The registration period is from 18 to 25 May.

Instances are presented from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 hours on the premises of the Youth Department of the City of Murcia, located on Calle Carlos Valcarcel Reporter, 6 (compared to the Tennis Club) Tel: 968231589.

The application form is available on the website www.informajoven.org and dependencies of the Youth Service.

Participants must also provide original and photocopy of ID card, resume, recent passport-size photograph and application signed by the parent and ID if you are under age.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee chaired by Councilman Youth and composed of representatives of political groups and technical municipal Youth council of Murcia.

Be assessed to belong to an association, the language and participate in activities such as Language Club of the City of Murcia.

Preference will be given to those who have participated in exchanges held in Murcia host by the City of Murcia, young people who did not participate in youth exchanges, should lead to more balanced representation of young men and women and have preference for older candidates.

In case of tie points are used in alphabetical order by last name.
