People with intellectual disabilities in the Region of Murcia can study in college and earn a college degree to endorse their own training for incorporation satisfactory jobs in companies in Murcia.
The president of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia, Jose Luis Mendoza, and Vice President of the Foundation GMP, Antonio Montoro, today signed a cooperation agreement that has as main objective the creation of the Chair Montoro German Socio Inclusion People with Intellectual Disabilities.
The chair consists of a personalized training program for two years, with separate title of the UCAM, aimed at young people with intellectual disabilities from 18 to 30 years and a research program aimed at the employability of people with intellectual disabilities.
The objective of this project is to provide adequate job training these young people, tailored to their individual differences, to enable them to labor inclusion in ordinary companies, as well as provide the necessary support for workers with intellectual disabilities to achieve independent lives participating as full members in their community.
The cooperation agreement signed this morning will allow also the presence standardized youth with intellectual disabilities in a rare environment as that of the University.

The Chair Montoro German Socio Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disability is based on the hit Promentor the Prodis Foundation and the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid have been developing since 2005.
The Foundation UCAM Gmp and have had the advice and collaboration of both institutions in Madrid.
This is the first initiative of this nature from a private university in Europe and the second in a university after that program Promentor.
