The Board of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia approved the following statement on the follow up of Royal Decree-Law 14/2012 and other measures of financial stability:
"The Board, at its regular meeting held on May 10, 2012, unanimously agreed to express their rejection of measures to reduce occupational and health and education resources, threatening both health care to the population as the training of future health professionals. "
Expresses its concern about the impact on the education of students of different degrees of the Faculty of Medicine would the implementation of these measures, after the past years has increased the number of students enrolled and plans have changed study for their adaptation to the European Higher Education.
Calls upon the Government of the Region of Murcia not to apply measures under the Royal Decree Law 14/2012, nor those arising from the financial stability plan that could affect the health and education.
Deposited in the government team at the University of Murcia any confidence that defend the interests of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia and Murcia society.
Supports, in all its terms, the Declaration of the Deans of the University of Murcia and the Manifesto of the Resistance Committee in Defense of the Public University, University of Murcia and the actions called by the same, and to the strikes called the next day 16 and May 22. "
