The event, organized by Decathlon, has the support of Councillors for Environment and Sports
About two thousand people will participate in Sunday's II Decabike bike festival organized by Decathlon with the collaboration of the Councillors for Environment and Sports.
Councillors and Adela Martinez-Miguel Cascales Cachá have this test this morning accompanied by the section responsible for Bikes Decathlon and event organizer, Fernando wheels.
The aim is to promote a model of healthy living, promote the use of bicycles in the city and preserve the environment.
In this event, which is not competitive, and entire families participate in addition to the bike course there are free activities such as workshops, tasting booths, tours of driver education and proficiency testing, among other things.
Adela Martinez-Cachá announced that the Office of the Bicycle, the Department of Environment, will work to disseminate and promote the event so that all citizens know and can participate.
For his part, Miguel Cascales recalled that such initiatives promote bicycle use and practice of sport as a family.
Last year more than 1,800 people participated in the test of Murcia, and 80,000 people in Spain, since the test was held in over 70 cities.
The test will begin next Sunday, May 13, beginning at 10 am in the Decathlon Thader Commercial Centron.
The route is 11 kilometers.
Participation may be between 6 and 90 years, with your bike and helmet.
The inscription, which is free, will be held at the Decathlon store Thader or through the web www.decathlon.com / decabike.
The deadline for registration is May 12.
The route is as follows: Decathlon store Thader (start and finish), Juan de Borbón, Prince of Asturias, Juan Carlos I at Estrella de Levante, North Coast and shopping centers to Thader Decathlon.
During testing, the streets will be closed to traffic and a truck and several cars were instructed to collect the bikes and people who can not finish the tour.
Participants will have free parking.
