The municipal group of IU-Green in the city of Murcia has filed a motion to the next plenary session by requesting the inclusion of social clauses, labor and environmental processes and procurement phases.
The aim of the initiative is to promote the recruitment of small businesses, women, local self, people with disabilities, areas at risk of exclusion and entities undertaking good environmental practices and promote permanent employment.
It also aims to combat job insecurity and wage of employees of companies that develop services for local government as a result of outsourcing.
According to the formation of the left, the inclusion of such clauses ensure compliance with the plan of the municipality Equality through the introduction into the specifications of aspects that prioritize the recruitment of women.
Also favor companies with better working conditions and respect the principles of environmental sustainability through such measures as the use of renewable and reusable products.
Councilman Jose Ignacio IU-Tornel Green explained that his motion is in line with European Directive 18/2004, which provides the ability to meet social requirements in public procurement.
