Legionella controls will be carried out and cleaned the lakes twice a year and supplies once a month
The City Council approved the contract specifications for service and maintenance in fountains and lakes and Murcia municipal districts.
The City will invest 97,940 euros in this project.
The lakes and fountains are:
Circular-Fountain Square
Garden-Fountains Artillery Barracks
-Fountain Avenue Miguel Indurain, Bacons Bridge entrance
-Source El Charco, Holy Angel
Round Lake-South
-Lake The Silk Garden
Nitrate-Lago Garden
Fofó-Lago Garden
The work to be performed are daily cleaning of leaves, plastic, bottles or anything that floats on the lake or source.
Be cleaned ponds and fountains at least once a month.
The lakes are cleaned twice a year by pouring, collecting the fish, cleaning the mud, the walls and repairing geysers.
Also comply with the cleaning protocol sources of the Ministry of Health.
In the warmer months from May to October, water weekly to analyze its characteristics and to control legionella.
It will handle the seamless operation of all sources and lakes, conservation of water facilities preventive and corrective, conservation and maintenance of electrical installations, testing them periodically to ensure safety.
In addition, conservation and maintenance of buildings and premises of the lakes and sources (wells, pump rooms, control stations ...), the pipes will be painted once a year with layers of antioxidant protection, pipes will be cleaned and adjusted the height of the jets of water, keep the pictures of machines in perfect condition and will be painted at least once a year.
With this project the City wants the fountains and lakes of the city are always in top condition.
