The IU-Green spokesman in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, will today and tomorrow in a meeting organized left-wing councilors in Herne (Germany) Realpe European network, which brings together elected and progressive local authorities of Europe .
The meeting is about the collapse of municipal finance in a European perspective, the Cohesion Fund, the situation of disadvantaged groups in the context of the crisis, European funding and alternatives to ensure the independence of local government.
It is envisaged involving MEPs and Cornelia Ernst Jürgen Klute, members of Die Linke, the German political movement left, which is hosting the meeting and Realpe president, Jean Paul Plassard, among others.
Esther Herguedas participates as a member of IU on behalf of Spain, along with representatives of the Left Bloc in Portugal, Front de Gauche in France, Die Linke in Germany and Belgium.
