Students in Primary and Secondary municipality of Murcia guided tours to the Aquarium of the University of Murcia, thanks to an agreement signed today between the educational institution and the city of the capital at the headquarters of the Rectory.
The Councillor for Education, Maria Dolores Sanchez, said that visits to the Aquarium is in high demand by schools, as evidenced by the figures of this course, with 2,700 students who have passed through the facility.
Maria Dolores Sanchez added that the City will contribute to the maintenance of the Aquarium with a subsidy of 6,000 euros.
The rector of University Extension and eGovernment, Mercedes Farias, highlighted the features of the Aquarium, including mentioned in addition to school visits for educational, research and teaching work is done and the possibility that the university made practices.
Also, the rector, Jose Antonio Cobacho, said the aquarium serves to fulfill one of the objectives of the University, service to society, while thanking the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, for your cooperation.
At the signing ceremony was also attended by the director and technical director of the Aquarium, Ezequiel Martinez and Emilio Cortes, respectively.
