Next Wednesday, May 2, will be the launch of "The Kingdom of Murcia in the retina of the traveler," which contains fragments of works from the nineteenth-century travel literature in Spain.
The presentation, to be held in the Hall Antonio Soler Mercy Campus at 19.30 am, in the presence of the Vice Chancellor of University Extension and eGovernment, Mercedes Farias, the coordinator of Editum Publications Service, Conrad Navalón, and the publisher of the work, John R.
Governors, among others.
"The kingdom of Murcia in the retina of the traveler" is composed of fragments of four works: "Descriptive Itinerary of Spain" (1808), the writer Alexandre de Laborde, "The modern traveler" (1830), Josiah Conder, "Spain in 1830 "(1831), written by Henry D.
Inglis, and "Handbook for Travellers in Spain" (1855) by Richard Ford.
The prologue of this work, which aims to show the reader the nineteenth century Murcia through images and stories relevant Murcia, signed by Nicholas A.
Campos Plaza, Professor at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Murcia.
"The kingdom of Murcia in the retina of the traveler" is the first fruit of the collaboration agreement signed between the Master's Degree in Editorial and Publications Service of the University of Murcia, as all translations were necessary to compose the work born of the joint work between students and teachers of this master's degree in translation and interpretation.
