IU-Green Bacons Bridge (Murcia) has organized an event entitled "The defense of our identity and decentralization", to be held on Saturday, day 28, at 19 am in the party room of the parish.
The municipal coordinator and spokesperson for IU-Green in the Municipality of Bacons Bridge, Francisco Munoz, stressed the importance of this event to claim greater citizen participation in public affairs.
So, Muñoz has called for direct election of village headman by the neighbors, and the establishment of a participatory budgeting system in which citizens decide how to invest money from your taxes.
He stressed that the defense of the identity of the hamlet was centered primarily on the need to preserve the heritage of "what little remains of garden" and the conversion of the Clock Tower as a cultural center.
The event also will be paying tribute to the Second Republic with the reading of a manifesto and held the 30-year-Greens IU Bacons Bridge.
Among the participants is in addition to Munoz, the activist Mariano Cano.
The IU-Green councilors in the city of Murcia, Esther and Jose Ignacio Tornel Herguedas attending the event.
