The Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum (CMN), University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic, following the conference program "Know How Mediterranean 2012", developed during this week (23 to 27 April) the course "Science, Mar and Heaven, "which includes lectures, workshops and musical events.
The opening session will be devoted to marine technologies at the School of Business Science from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, while on Tuesday, day 24, will speak at the University of Murcia on the importance of the sky in the Mediterranean.
All presentations and round tables, like the rest of days will be held in the House of Arts, located on the campus of Mercy, whose courtyard host a stellar observation at the end of the day.
Throughout Wednesday, the conference addressed issues such as the presence of the Mediterranean in Arab cultural history, form of Arab authors reflect the Murcian coast or water in the Mediterranean culture.
There are also planned a meeting of speakers and students of Islamic studies and a performance of light and Arabic music.
The painter Pedro Cano with his lecture "Painting the Mediterranean" will end on Friday this year, which day Thursday will be carried out by the screening of the film "Jean Painlevé. Fantasy for a marine biologist."
