19 Spanish cities are summoned to a meeting of the RECI, to be held next Friday.
Mayor House, who chairs the working group on energy, remember that the goal is to work together to develop cities with a more sustainable model and improve the lives of its inhabitants.
Murcia will host the next meeting of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities to be held next Friday, April 27, which are called the 19 funds that are part of it: Barcelona, ​​Burgos, Cáceres, Castellón, A Coruña, Logroño, Huesca, Madrid, Malaga, Murcia, Palencia, Pamplona, ​​Salamanca, Santander, Segovia, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, Vitoria-Gasteiz.
All of them are united by an interest in exchanging experiences and work together to develop a sustainable model and improve the quality of life of citizens.
To make it more effective, the Red-chaired by the Mayor of Santander, Iñigo de la Serna-established five working groups:
- Energy, led by Murcia
- Social Innovation (A Coruña)
- Environment, infrastructure, building and sustainable urban design and livability (Vitoria)
- Urban Mobility (Burgos and Valladolid)
- Government, business and economy (Valencia).
At the meeting of Murcia each working group will present a project that may be assumed by the other municipalities to advance a new model of city, which will be necessary to introduce new measures aimed at greater energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, eGovernment or safety, among others.
The RECI was established on 13 January and the meeting of Murcia will be the second to take place after kept in A Coruña in February.
In addition to approving the project to develop working groups, the meeting next Friday will also focus on preparing the constitutional meeting of the Network to be held in Valladolid in June.
