This year, to celebrate the "25th Anniversary of the Foundation of Education of Murcia Tuna" this university group will participate for the twenty third time in the Procession of Silence cover by the Confraternity of the Holy Christ of the Refuge.
This time the tuna will perform their vocal and musical pieces with the largest number of performers in the already large range of years of participation in the procession, because the occasion of that celebration of its twenty-fifth anniversary of the gathering of the prickly pear Now with those of yesteryear, with over thirty participants will perform their special tribute to the brothers and the image of the Holy Christ of the Refuge.
They are already 23 years that this Tuna of Education of Murcia has remained true to his appointment at the Plaza de la Cruz of our city, waiting for the Procession of Silence go with you to show your respect and passion, and for that for a few minutes music and choral voices interpret several songs that break the solemn silence.

In 1962 (during 1961-62), a small group of student teachers, driven by some friends and relatives who belonged to the SEU tuna formed a college, we could say rondalla, which began testing music of tuna, in a local old school of Education at the Plaza de Fontes.

Likewise also won second prizes in cities such as Almería in 1988, Cuenca in 1991, Huelva in 1995 and 1997, Barcelona 1998, Round in 1999 and Porto in 2000.
Recognition of the third-best group so obtained in Segovia in 1988, Oviedo 1993, Grenada in 1998 and Ubeda in 2002.
Other awards that support the evolution of this tuna was the recognition of the Tuna more elegant on the Bicentennial of the University of La Laguna in 1992, Best Soloist in Ubeda 1999, Huelva Best Flag in 1994, Ubeda in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and Melilla in 1999.
Best Tambourine in Huelva and Albacete 1994 1997, 1994 Best round in Malaga, Caceres Ubeda and Melilla in 1998 and 1999.
Best Almeria Parade in 1990 and Oviedo 1993.
Top Pick in 1987 Santander, Cádiz and Málaga 1993 1994.
Other highlights of the Tuna shares of Education of Murcia during these 25 years have been collaborations with different media and Spanish television, organizing two national contests Tunas of Education in our city, Video Clip of the Tuna of Education of Murcia with the song "Pictures of Yesterday", promoting the Twinning Project with the city of Pinar del Rio (Cuba) and formation of the First Cuban Tuna University in 1998, ambassadors from the region of Murcia on the tenth anniversary of Twinning between the cities of Murcia and Grasse (France) in 2000, I organized the Tuna Tunas National Competition "Ciudad de Molina de Segura held in 2000.
Of note is the participation of the tuna with the song "Silence", emblematic theme sung that night at the launch of a disc recorded on the occasion of the celebration of the LX Anniversary of the Brotherhood of Christ's forgiveness of Murcia in March 2002 .
