On the occasion of the upcoming Easter holiday and Spring Festival and the resulting increased presence of citizens in public, the Police Headquarters offers some basic safety tips to prevent crimes of greater impact on those dates such as theft, small thefts and scams.
In public places
Watch your purse or wallet in those places where many people attend (flea markets, shows, etc..)
Watch your personal belongings, especially purses, cameras, bags ...
Take precautions to prevent handbags, jewelry or similar items you may be caught.
Do not flaunt wealth
Keep track of your belongings.
Watch your purse or wallet in crowded places.
Protect your camcorder or photographic places of entertainment.
Avoid gambling on the street.
They are a fraud.
Be wary of suspicious aids (notice stains on clothing, vehicle breakdowns, etc.).
Steer clear of easy business.
Could be a scam.
If you use a vehicle, do not leave any valuables in sight.
IF YOU LEAVE HOLIDAY
Check that doors and windows of your home are locked.
Do not lower the blinds completely.
Do not leave money or valuables.
Make a detailed list of cameras, videos and other devices with serial numbers for easy identification.
Do not disconnect the doorbell.
It's a sure sign of absence.
Do not disclose your absence.
Communicated only to those closest to where they can reach you.
Leave the key to a trusted person to conduct regular visits and collect the mail from the mailbox.
ALWAYS REMEMBER
Do not give entry into the house to strangers.
Always ask for accreditation to the representatives of technical services (gas, electricity, water, etc..) And confirm by telephone.
Notify the police
When you see strangers loitering in the doorway or on the street.
If you hear noises in vacant homes.
