The University of Murcia and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Maria de la Arrixaca signed a collaboration agreement to develop joint activities in training and research.
The rector of University Extension and eGovernment, Mercedes Farias, developer of the agreement, said, "begins a partnership that we hope will be long and fruitful relationship with an institution that hosts the highest representatives of culture in the Region of Murcia".
During the signing ceremony, held in Convalescence, the rector reported that specific actions will be announced soon in one of the issues addressed in the agreement.
The director of the Royal Academy, Francisco Marín Hernández said that this framework is "a stimulus and, in a sense, a homecoming, since many of our members are professors at the University of Murcia, the common house of culture regional ".
The other signatory, the rector, Jose Antonio Cobacho, said the Royal Academies play an important role, "as the Fine Arts in Santa Maria de la Arrixaca in Murcia, a land of artists, sculptors, painters."
The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Santa Maria de la Arrixaca is to promote the study purposes, criticism, culture and research in the arts in general and particularly in painting, sculpture, architecture, music and arts image .
