A large group of students, teachers and volunteers at the Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM), headed by President of the University, José Luis Mendoza, and by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension and director of the International Charity and Volunteering (IICV ) John Paul II, Antonio Alcaraz, left on Saturday March 24 bound for Cuba, to accompany His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI during his apostolic visit to the Caribbean country
Pilgrims from the Catholic University San Antonio completed in Cuba this week an intensive program of activities including participation today Monday, March 26, in a meeting with the Pope and pilgrims from many countries and in the Eucharist celebrated by the Pope in the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre in Santiago de Cuba, attendance on Wednesday the 28th, a Mass with the Pope at the Revolution Square, Havana, and the Eucharist to be held on Thursday, March 28, also in Havana, the Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, Cardinal Antonio Cañizares.
