The IU-Green councilor in the city of Murcia, Jose Ignacio Tornel, defend in full next Wednesday a motion calling for transparency in the management of municipal boards.
In its proposal, Tornel explains the difficulties of the public to access information when approving budgets or accountable for the management of public money.
He noted that these data "reach refuse even to the very vocal opposition so that, in practice, get them or not depending on the will and discretion of the president of the municipal board corresponded to them."
He recalled that it is not the first time called for in full measures of this kind, "and we are many obstacles that prevent us from performing the work entrusted to us citizens and PP response has always been the rejection of any proposal to stimulate and encourage citizen participation in our neighborhoods and districts. "
So Tornel has asked the Transparency Law, whose draft has been presented recently by the central government "really applies in all administrations."
"The Popular Party is expected to show more consistency and make it less propaganda. Can not say that there will be transparency if the institutions closer to citizens are managed without the most basic democratic guarantees as the right to information" has pointed out.
In his motion, IU-Green requests that the municipal website and the bulletin boards of the Boards of neighborhood or district budgets are published both in force as settled.
