Alice Waterman has given the awards of this event which celebrates its nineteenth edition
The Women's Center of Guadalupe has failed its literary awards, and awarded the first prize of narrative, worth 150 euros to Teresa Hernandez Martinez.
The second prize was awarded to Mary narrative Nicholas Arteaga (worth 100 euros).
The first prize for poetry has been to Catalina Pérez Muñoz (with an amount of 150 euros) and the second prize in the form of poetry is to Carmen Hernandez Langa (worth 100 euros).
They have also received special mention Catherine Munoz Perez (narrative) and Maria del Carmen Hernandez Gonzalez (poetry).
In this event were presented 14 works of fiction and 15 works of poetry.
In addition, this year has published a compilation publication of the winning works in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The jury was composed of teachers Navarro Herminia Carter, Ana Lucia Martinez Soler Conchillo Roda, writer Federico Montalban and award-winning partner in the previous edition M ª Inés Ruíz Mateos.
Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, attended the awards ceremony and stressed that such activities are encouraged participation of women in creative writing as a means of communication, and give about the activities of the members of Centers for Women.
This literary competition celebrating its nineteenth edition.
The Women's Center of Guadalupe was born in 1993 with the main objective of integral development of women, thus contributing to their integration and participatory in their environment in all areas of life.
The Management Team was renewed in December 2011 and consists of Fuensanta Ruiz (Chair), Dolores Capel (Vice President), Dolores Nicholas (Secretary) and Maria Dolores Martinez (Treasurer).
The Center for Women carries out aerobics, fitness, pilates, writing contest, workshops and training courses stretching Assistant warden, assistant clinical practice.
