The Socialist councilor Jose Zapata says that as a result of outsourcing of some services has been a deterioration in the provision of those services and the hiring of workers in precarious jobs with wages below 600 euros a day for hours and contracts
The socialist mayor Jose Zapata defend an initiative in Parliament next week asking the municipal PP reorganize municipal services to provide the same quality of care to citizens who had been doing prior to the reduction of staff schedules.
And, according to Zapata, with this reduction in hours and outsourcing of services is harming staff (janitors, messengers and subordinates), because due to low pay something dignified wage income by providing extraordinary services, outside the hours of operation of offices and schools, even on weekends, for decades.
With the new situation imposed by the local government councilor, said the PSOE-workers will see their net monthly income reduced by nearly 30 percent, leaving in most cases well below $ 1,000.
As for outsourcing, Zapata says that services such as cemetery, call the local police or the Romea Theatre Ushers were being paying a very high quality and now city officials, the City is paying more for their provision being privatized.
Therefore, the socialist mayor will propose an audit of all services privatized in recent years to determine what would be more efficient for the City Council if they were provided by municipal officials.
This would avoid Zapata-to-end workers who were paying before losing more than 30 percent on their net monthly income and that companies who take care of these privatized services have hired people in precarious that in many cases, come to collect or 600 euros.
