The School of Social Work, University of Murcia today held an act of recognition to the group of social workers who treated the people of Lorca in the earthquake last May.
The event was held in the auditorium of the Faculty, where the president of the General Council of Schools of Social Work in Spain, Ana Isabel Lima, delivered a lecture on the importance of social work in times of crisis.
The activities, which have been organized by the university to mark the World Day of Social Work have included a sports Mundialito "Against Racism" and the opening of an exhibition of posters and murals on the ground floor of the Faculty.
The ceremony ended with the surrender of the contest "Bookmark".
