The University of Murcia presented tomorrow, Friday, March 23, the Center for Studies in Biolaw, Ethics and Health, as part of the conference on "Social sustainability and human rights to water: toward a public model of water management to populations ".

The presentation of the Center, directed by Professor Jose Ramon Salcedo, will take place in the hall of degrees of the Faculty of Law, Campus de la Merced, at 10:30.

Previously, at 10:00 hours, the rector, Jose Antonio Cobacho, will open the conference, which will take place throughout the day with conferences and round tables.

The first conference (11:00 pm) correspond to Luis Babiano, manager of the Spanish Association of Operators of Public Water Supply and Sanitation, will speak on "The bubble of water in Spain."

At 12:30 hours, Aniza Fernanda Garcia Morales, a researcher at the Complutense Institute for Critical Legal Studies, addressed in his paper "Access to water and sanitation: the need for enforceable right."

"Funding of natural resources" (16:30 pm) and "Political corruption and the supply of drinking water" (17:30 hours) will be the topics of the lectures of the afternoon session, led by Matteo Guainazzi, Association for the Taxation of Financial Transactions for the Aid of Citizens (ATTAC), and the economist Fernando Durruticoechea, respectively.

At 19:00 hours, representatives of Ecologists in Action, ATTAC, CONSUMUR (Murcia Association of Consumers and Users) and Peace Assembly 15M-Fame-Vistabella discussed at a roundtable on "Drinking water, common property at risk."

The presentation of the Public Water Network, at 20:00, will end the conference, which have been co-organized by the said Centre for Studies and the departments of Administrative Law and Sociology and Social Policy.
