The Governing Council of the University of Murcia approved the proposal to create a rectory computer shopping center in the policy of austerity and savings implemented by the educational institution in 2009.
The agreement indicates that the university spends annually about 2.3 million in the purchase of office supplies by the different units.
The initiative is now trying to get approved savings can be estimated thirty percent of that amount, in addition to relieving the pressure of spending in different units.
It also aims to unify the material purchased, facilitating the supply of spare parts, repair and other synergies and provide greater flexibility to shopping.
Other objectives are to reduce time and streamline the selection of tenders, thereby saving costs.
