41% of all students at the school participating in the School Sports Programme are girls
The CEPS School District Progress Team was awarded the 'Equality in Sport', which promotes Equality Policy Department, directed Alicia Barquero.
This award aims to recognize schools and teachers who have encouraged greater participation of girls in sports activities and equipment, in order to further enhance women's sports in school.
The school team has a 41% of girls in total enrollment in the program center of the School Sports Department of Sports of the Municipality of Murcia.
Through the Equality in Sport Award aims to:
- Promote the value of competition among female students.
- Breaking gender stereotypes in sport competition since childhood.
- Encourage the principle of equality of opportunity and treatment in sports.
The award consists of a plaque with the logo 'Murcia in Equality', to be exhibited in a conspicuous place of the College, certificate of recognition to school and physical education teachers and for school sports equipment worth 1,000 euros.
Councilwoman Alicia Barquero this morning visited the school for delivery of sports equipment that have received as a reward.
The activities to mark International Women's Day continues tomorrow, Wednesday:
- 10.30 am will be held 'Close Encounters of the Northwest Greenway', with the participation of Women's Centers of Murcia and Alguazas.
- 17 pm in the Women's Center Cabezo de Torres will read poems dedicated.
- 17 pm in the Women's Center Nonduermas has organized an exhibition of poems.
- 17.00 and 19.30 hours, classroom culture of CAM.
Film screening Happy-Go-Lucky, 'Way to Happiness'.
- 17.30, Museum of the City.
Workshop 'Women in history'.
- 18.00, Almudí Palace Arts Center, the lead author Monereo Chelete his exhibition 'Poem cash'.
19.00 pm in the City Museum, will take place the II Seminar Speaking of Women, with the musicologist and artist Esperanza Clares Chelete Moreneo.
