The spokesman of the Presidency of IU-Green, Esther Herguedas, has reported today that the Ministry of Education seeks to eliminate school bus routes that do not meet the legal requirements established in the order of June 3, 2002, which regulates the operation and management of this service.
Herguedas explained that according to this Order, the Administration would only be obliged to provide this service in cases in which the school gave more than three miles from home.
He criticized that this deletion, they just met in a communication centers of the Director General of Infrastructure and Educational Development, is made without taking into account the circumstances which can occur in each case.
As an example the route has carried 56 children from the Santa Catalina to the Holy Angel School in the municipality of Murcia, in case you delete the service would be required to travel this road by the side of the road, that most of its sections is undeveloped.
It also noted that this new decision is added to the unpaid for two years of support for individual transportation to school children who live more than three miles away from schools and that the authority is required to be covered by that law strict letter which claimed to what interests
Herguedas described the suppression of these pathways as "a new cut, pure and simple, unjust, segregating and contrary to the principle of equality that should prevail in education because it will be detrimental to the sectors with greater difficulties and more are suffering the consequences of the crisis.
