Both institutions will sign a cooperation agreement
In order to carry out a project to break the intergenerational transmission of poverty from parents to children, encouraging the development of a more healthy and happy childhood and a fuller development of their potential and capabilities, the City of Murcia will sign a cooperation agreement with La Caixa Foundation to carry out development prorgama ProInfancia Caixa.
The agreement has received approval from the Board of Governors this morning.
The program is therefore an initiative within the framework of social commitment to human rights, peace, justice and dignity of people, aimed at children in poverty, economic and social vulnerability in order to promote and support their development in a comprehensive way, encouraging and supporting policies to improve equity, social cohesion and equal opportunities for children and their families.
The object is to regulate the cooperation agreement between the city of Murcia and the Fundación "la Caixa" to coordinate efforts to optimize the implementation of the Caixa Proinfancia to facilitate both the improvement of the situation of children and their families, and to develop the skills and commitment necessary to enable them to independently undertake the process of improvement.
The general objectives that guide the program are:
- Encourage the development of skills of children and adolescents and their families to improve their processes of social inclusion and autonomy.
- Promote the social and educational development of children in their family, school and society.
- Develop and implement a model of social action and comprehensive education to help improve opportunities for social and educational development of children and their families.
