At last year involved 4,200 youth from 51 schools in the municipality
The Councillors for Security, who heads Nuria Fuentes and Education, led by Maria Dolores Sanchez, announce the XXIII edition of the local Road Safety Education and Accident Prevention for students of 3 º ESO, with the aim to sensitize and educate students need to know and respect the traffic rules and work in preventing accidents.
This event has been held since 1989, for students aged 14 to 15 years.
The activity is organized and coordinated by the Department of Education along with the local police.
The competition can occur all schools who wish to groups of three students.
This competition rewards individual effort of the school and teamwork.
Participants receive the material on circulation and traffic signals and perform theoretical tests.
Are held three knockout stages and pre-registration and preparation.
The first phase is done in schools in March.
From each group 3 of the ESO at each participating center will get a team of three students.
The second phase is preliminary and takes place on the premises of the local police, during the second half of April.
Theoretical tests are done to pass to the third stage, and end those groups that have obtained a minimum of 80 points.
In phase three teams will qualify more points were obtained.
In case of a tie, points will be added to the 2 nd and 3 rd phase, to continue producing a draw will be made 5 questions to each team member and to persist, there will be a practical test on the track Children's Traffic Park.
This phase will take place in the second half of May, at the offices of the local police.

3rd.
Prize: 3 tablet and trophies.
4 th Prize: 3 Photographic Equipment.
5 th Prize: 3 mini-chains.
5 th Prize: 3 MP4.
The aim is to motivate students in learning and compliance with traffic rules by creating and promoting attitudes and habits of living, responsibility and caution in risk attitudes and risk.
At first relates to the conduct of bicycles and mopeds, to start them later in learning the rules, signs and advice relating to your driving and you should not forget is that young people are frequent stage such vehicles.
At last year 4,175 young people attended 3 of ESO in this contest, belonging to 51 schools, 73% of the 70 existing in the municipality.
Initially, when the contest started in 1989, involved 40% of the centers.
Each year attendance has increased.
The Department of Education maintain that road safety education training is the best prevention for accidents.
The accident rate on moped accidents has dropped significantly from previous years.
From 2008 to 2011 has been reduced by 43%.
Most accidents lies with drivers from 15 to 21 years and less than one year experience driving vehicles.
As for the bike, the reduction from 2010 was 22%.
