San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the company Industrial Aromatic Creations (CARINSA), by establishing the Chair of 'food Aromatic Creations'.
The agreement was signed by the president of the UCAM, Jose Luis Mendoza, and by representatives of the Group CARINSA, Vanessa Martinez Chamorro, and Quirico Lopez Gonzalez.
The agreement aims to provide advice and scientific exchange between the two institutions, in particular in the areas of activity related to teaching, research and transfer of results of research activity in specific topics related to Nutrition, Technology Food and Health.
Among the objectives of the Chair include providing supplements in teaching, students in their final years, to facilitate their access to work under competitive conditions.
It also establishes seminars, symposia or workshops on issues relating to the contents of the Chair and the development of research, study and dissemination of results in terms of common interest.
The representative of the Group Carinsa, Vanessa Martinez, stressed that this is one of the first classes worldwide to train future aromistas and perfumers who can work both in the food industry as manufacturers of fragrances and perfumes.
"It is a doctrine which so far was not in any university and UCAM as innovative institution, wanted to develop this chair," he assured Vanessa Martinez.
