The Board of Directors held this morning Mercamurcia have approved the annual accounts of 2011, which obtained a profit of EUR 125,332.26 before taxes.
In this first council of the year, we have analyzed the results of the progress of the Food Unit in 2011, highlighting the outcome of the Slaughterhouse, which increased by 2.7% in volume of sacrifice for the year 2010.
This increase is mainly related to increased activity of wholesalers and veal.
The Fruit and Vegetable Market has remained at similar levels to 2010, with a slight decrease of 1.99% by mass marketing.
This has not happened in the Fish Market and Flower & Plant, where the results were lower than those achieved in 2010.
Investments made during this period amounted to 204,070.15 euros, spent mainly to improve slaughterhouse facilities, the Fruit and Vegetable Market and related Environmental Protection.
Also informed the council the start of the training for the staff to implement the joint project Mercaexcelencia promoted by Mercasa and that means integrating Mercamurcia Food Unit in the EFQM excellence model.
