This is how Chano Dominguez will present "Iberian Piano," a work that will house Teatro Circo Murcia next Thursday, February 23, at 21 hours.
Driven by his personal concept of jazz and flamenco, Cadiz pianist released his first solo album, Chano (Nuba Records), sharing work with bassist Javier Colina and drummer Guillermo McGill, as well as the collaboration of celebrated musicians such as Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent The Ball and, among others.
After many other activities, conducted the tour Son Cubano & Flamenco with Gonzalo Rubalcaba and participated in international festivals of China, Colombia, Germany, Argentina and Cuba, at the Jazz Plaza Festival 98 from Havana, which was invited by the SGAE Foundation and the Author.
Since then, stands as a universal figure.
The larger project of Chano Dominguez was the formation of a group that has more than ten musicians who have recorded the album NFS, New Flamenco Sound, a unique combination of jazz and flamenco.
In 2007, NFS components toured several Spanish cities, traveling to Mexico, where they collect rave reviews.
In April, Chano Dominguez was requested by Liepjaja Symphony Orchestra (Latvia) to interpret his compositions of De Cai to New Orleans was also invited to the festival La Cite de la Musique in Paris, and at Lincoln Center in New York, one year after, and the Festival de Jazz de San Francisco on May 2, 2008.
In 2010 it published Iberian Piano, a collection of works by Isaac Albéniz, Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados and Frederic Mompou, versioned from the personal vision of Chano Dominguez.
