IU-Green is interested in cleaning up the beds of the canals (16/02/2012)

The IU-Green spokesman in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, presented a set of questions to the next plenary session to explain whether the council plans this year to clean and clear the channels of the canals and armlets of the garden.

Herguedas noted that in the 2012 municipal budget has not starting any cleaning and clearing ditches, the realization and maintenance is the responsibility of the consistory.

"Cleaning up these channels is essential for the proper maintenance of irrigation system and to avoid health problems and odors affecting neighbors," she added.

It has also asked the government team which provides cost for municipal works and what does the project to clean up the channels.
