Maria del Carmen Pelegrin has participated in the tribute to this ancient neighbor
Carmen Fernández Garcia received this morning a tribute to celebrate its 100 birthday.
The Councillor for Health and Social Welfare, María del Carmen Pelegrin, participated in the celebration with the family of Carmen and her fellow residents in El Amparo, where he lives.
Carmen Fernandez was born on February 11, 1912 in Murcia and has worked all his life as a telephone.
He married and had two children, Paco and Manuel.
After the death of her husband in the battle of the Ebro, in the Civil War, Carmen had to raise her two children, aided by his two sisters.
This neighbor of Murcia, who has lived long in Floridablanca, has 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Carmen also claims to have care for their grandchildren.
Carmen lives in the residence El Amparo since 2003, when one of his children died and one of his sisters.
