The Socialist councilor Susana Hernandez, submits to the government team that the new text of the Municipal Green Areas and Street tree including the prohibition of allocating water from the municipal supply house for watering green areas complying with current legislation and , if not complied with, is considered a very serious infringement.
Hernandez also suggested that the water quality to be used for irrigation, fountains and ponds in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
This measure is one of the proposals made by the Socialist Group to get the government team to complete this new legislation.
Other suggestions raised by the mayor Susana Hernandez is to be placed collection bins to separate waste directly (paper, cans, glass and organic waste) and a clean minidot for citizens to deposit special household waste so as to advance in environmental education.
In addition, the PSOE councilor proposed that, before building a new green in contaminated soil have been previously allocated to other activities of health risk, studies are made to ensure that there is no danger to the residents who will use this new space.
Also, Susana Hernandez points to the need to remove barriers for the disabled in the green areas and avoid wet floors that once they become slippery.
Finally, the Socialist councilor welcomes the spirit of cooperation with all political groups that made the final wording of this ordinance.
"This is the way forward, we expect from other Councillors more work in this line because we are convinced that this collaboration will always be beneficial to the municipality."
